Is Search Optimization the Newest Fad? Think Again!

Are you thinking paid search and optimization are just a fad and there is no need for your company to participate?  Think again!

Search engine optimization and search engine marketing (often paid search) are ways to generate traffic…generating traffic means more people visiting your site, and ultimately leading to an increase in sales, doesn’t that sound good?

The return on investment (ROI) of search marketing is usually high.  Companies either have a choice of hiring someone to take care of their search, or doing a few simple things themselves. However, the ROI of search depends greatly on the quality of effort put in. The cost of paying someone to take care of search marketing is minimal compared the returns you will see!

Although of the growth of the search marketing did slow down a bit, it has proven to be fairly resistant to the recession as compared to other forms of marketing.  According to the “State of Search Engine Marketing 2010” report, from Econsultancy and the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO), paid search and optimization are on the rise, $16.6 billion will be spent on search this year.  Many companies are even allocating more of its budget to search efforts and less on direct mailings.
